I am looking for a picture of a GTS with a 19/20 setup WITHOUT being lowered. I want to see how high it rides so I can decide to buy spring caps (again) or eibach's.

Dave I think you have a picture for everything. Thanks. What size are those rear tires? The tires on the set I am getting are 345 25 20. Just trying to figure out what I need to do. Have a picture with spring caps?

Explaining Viper things to you
The PS2 is a 335/30 28" OD. It closes the gap by 1". Yours will not so much. No spring caps in my future as I already rub on the back. I'll do it with Penskes some day tho.

KNG SNKE, do you know how much the caps lower it compared to the Eibachs? I just got some 18"/19" SRT 5 spokes for my '97. I've had the springs sitting in a box in my garage forever... Wonder if I need the caps too -or- will be too low?

Spring caps lower approx .5 inches. Springs and caps with 18's in the front will run you very low. I sold my spring caps because of the roads in New England but in hindsight it probably would of been a bad idea for me.

Here's Eibach Springs and Caps with the tire you mentioned (345/25/20). I know you didn't ask for it but here it is anyway for comparisons sake.

Any rubbing with springs and caps? How is the ride? Bumpy? Really bumpy? Why did I do this bumpy? Or not too bad from stock?

Also do you know your clearance in the front? The bottom most portion of the lip to the ground. Curious to see if it is actually lower clearance then stock and do you know if you can run springs and caps on oem 18s?

I have this set of 19/20s and I also have a set of OEM 18" rims with stock tire sizes that I run. I get NO rubbing of the body on the tires with either combo.

The cars sits slightly lower to the ground on the 19/20" than the 18" set up because the overall tire heigth is slightly less with the 19s in front.

The car is very low to the ground. I can measure for you when I get home to see exactly what my clearance is. The lowest point to the ground is the facia just in front of the front tires. If I recall correctly, I believe I have about 2 1/2 inches of clearance there.

I can't really compare ride quality for you because the car was already lowered when I bought it and this is my first Viper.

Here's a pic of the car on 18" rims.

Just measured. I have 3 inches of clearance at the lowest point, with the 19" rims on front. Would have a little more with the 18" wheels.

Ok well the rear tires on the wheels I picked up are shot so I am just going to order all new tires.

I am going with the PSS most likely in 345 30 20 which is larger then what is on my car now which is 345 25 20.

Should I make my front tires larger? Right now they are 275 30 19, should I go with a 35?

hey. Do you notice much performance loss with the 19/20 set up verses the 18s. Thanks

The car I just bought was lowered with 19/20s on it. I can drive my Red Viper with 18's on and off my trailer with no problems. Took me 3 hours to get this other lowered one off. Was scraping on everything. To get it off without scraping i had to put 2x6's about a foot long and just keep rotating 4 of them, it was a pain in the butt. It will be getting raised up an inch or so.

Any more photos out there? I'm looking for a stock suspension 19/20 setup with a 345 25 20 tire in the back as well as a spring capped with stock springs with the same size.

For reference:
- a 345/25-20 setup has a OD of 26.8"
- a 345/30-20 setup has a OD of 28"
- a 345/30-19 setup has a OD of 27.15"

That said, these pics of my silver/blue lowered on 3/4" spring caps will show you within .35" what your clearance will look like in the rear (if you're running caps and a 25 sidewall):

Looks sharp. Going through all the 19/20 setups I can find it is about 50% of them I hate and the other 50% of them I love. Damnit!

Can anyone confirm sp600 fit over Daves bbk? I am fairly certain they do.

I have 3" and I'm on stock 18" sizes tires and Roe Racing CAPS only.
your car should seat at least 1/2" lower than mine..

Just measured. I have 3 inches of clearance at the lowest point, with the 19" rims on front. Would have a little more with the 18" wheels.

I remember those pics Dave. I have your same tires, wheels and Dave's Big Brake Kit; except mine is lowered on KW2s now. :)
