Just finished reading replies to the April issue that presented the 03RT-10. There were about 8 replies, divided 4 that hate the design to 4 of some other persuasion. Comments ranged from wondering what the heck Dodge was thinking of, to not liking the looks that much but it sure is a performer, to it is beautiful. They seemed to be more biased to not liking the looks. Basically everything that we all have been saying to some degree or another.
It seems to me that Dodge could really light up the looks of this machine by placing the air ducts above the rear wheels, as shown on the GTSR. This current 03 design just doesn't stand out enough, and that simple addition would do wonders to the looks (as I and others have said before, the GTSR is really nice, and what does it have — the air ducts — plus a cool looking roof). People would immediately notice this car with those very noticeable ducts, and it would stand out from other cars on the road (S2000, camaro, corvette). It can't be that much of a design change to put these ducts in, and it couldn't cost that much. Dodge listened to other desires, I don't think this is much more to ask.
You know there is no way Dodge will change the design too much, at this late date. Wouldn't you all think that this small design change would add a measurable difference to the car and make this Viper "Dodge Different"?
