My first problem.....

The drivers side window on my 96' GTS will not work right. I took off the door skin today to see if I could fix the problem. It looks like it has never been opened as everything was in it's place. Basically, the window will not go up when the button is pushed (but will go down). You can pull it up manually and it will stay up in the full upright position. When I had the skin off it looked like the "cables" were functioning properly. The window seamed to go up and down manually pretty easy also, like it wasn't connected to anything. Has anyone had similar problems or fixed this problem?

Had the same problem a few months ago. It turned out to be a broken plastic lift clip that attaches the window to the lift mechanism. It is at the bottom center of the window adjacent to the lift track which runs up the middle of the door. The part needed replacing altogether so I had the dealer do this under warrantee. It was a good thing I opened the door up prior to the work as I ended up having to go back in to put the felt window guide back in it's track to keep the window from rattling around.
