I little off topic, I put in an Eclipse Nav unit but couldn't find the speed pulse wire, even though the unit still works w/o connecting to it but I think it'll work better with it. Does anyone know which wire is the speed pulse wire?

There isnt one. The Viper is a PCI Bus based bar.

I've seen a can-bus VSS generator. not sure if there is something similar that will work on the viper platform.
The Viper isnt CAN, except for the Gen-4, and even in that case, it is not CAN behind the dash at the radio, and who knows on CAN compatibility. I have not seen a PCI converter like that.
