I put together this setup for my car but later decided to go with different setup.
This kit does Nav, Ipod and Bluetooth phone through your factory speakers. It includes:
RB1 (Dealer $1400, Ebay ~$650)
Mopar Ipod integration for RB1 (Dealer $220)
Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth ($99 Fry's)
Custom made harness for plug'n play install (priceless
All parts are new (except of Nav which I got off Ebay), I put them together but later decided to go with head unit with RCA outputs. For someone with stock radio this is a great setup how to get nav, ipod and BT hands free in one plug'n play package. And for someone with nav already this might be a good inspiration. Here is how it works:
- Mopar makes Ipod adapter for RB1 which works reasonably well and fast. It displays songs and allows list through artists. And it's quite fast. What Mopar doesn't do is a bluetooth phone kit (called Uconnect) which would utilize door speakers. You can buy Uconnect for this nav but esentially it is very expensive ($300) mute cable with it's own speaker. So this is where Parrot comes to play.
- Parrot gets in between radio (nav) and speakers so when someone calls it mutes the radio signal and sends to speakers your phone call. You also get a microphone - I run the cable through driver's side A pillar and put it on a visor. Works great - even with top down the other party can hear you well. And if not you could always lean a little bit forward having the mike at your lips.
- With the harness I am including this is a truly plug'n play solution. Plug one end to your stock system, another to RB1 and play.
