How do you get to it? I figured I would ask before I tear everything loose and still come up empty. TIA

I am waiting to hear if it is simply a matter of removing the light fixture...or if it is just as easy to remove the whole surround. I did a write-up on removing the surround...it is NOT hard. You WILL have to unplug the taillight assembly plug inside the rear hatch, almost right under the little rubber bumper, for both evolutions. I have seen a rear surround off the car that looked like the lights were taken off first...but thats it. :)

Go inside the trunk (on an RT/10 - don't know about the GTS, but I'm sure its similar), and remove the big plastic wing nuts (5 or 6 of them - only takes a minute or two), pull the whole taillight assembly out, and replace the bulbs. Very easy to do.

It might help to indicate the year/body.

On a GTS the trunk lining is removed to expose the trunk pan. Remove the rubber plugs that cover the access holes, remove the plastic nuts that retain the lamp housing and pull the lamp housing out the back enough to remove the light sockets. The turn signal and BU lamps are in the same housing.
