675 miles did my 1st built motor oil change saturday.

now 800 miles and i really like...

I am going another 1000 miles on the 2nd break in oil now.

Thus far catch can completely dry. I have not had too add any oil up to the first change. Car feels real strong... Fast as my 700+ rwhp paxton and actually more responsive.

I didnt know anyhing about Blow-by however after reading it seems that a bit of Blow-by is normal and actually healthy for a built motor where the forged pistons have more thermal size changes and for gases too push used oil around the rings back into the pan allowing a fresh cycle to begin. Uhh.. I think.

Now im wondering if i should use a semi synthetic or full synthetic oil 15W-50 as the running oil when i do the next oil change.

I understand that.

However, depending on what rings your builder used, piston materials, etc.. they may recommend one oil type and viscosity over another.

I was provided that oil info already.

So who uses semi sytnetic and who uses synthetic?
