UNBELEIVEABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I JUST came back from my neighboors house looking at his renovations he is doing (Pool, spa, etc) He's an older gentleman in his 50's and his wife is young at early 30's! (way to go dude! heh)
Anyways, his wife is out back teaching the kids how to swim and the young boy (Joeseph) is saying , "No, No, Don't put me in the water",etc (kid is like 2 1/2 yrs old)

A neighboor calls the cops and Child Services. Cop cars come with their sirens on (I thought they were coming to get me!!!!!) and get out and come to the door in a rush with hands on the guns (which aren't draw). They also come with Child protective services (dont knwo the official name) and conduct a criminal investigation and are the rudest most arrogant sons a ******'s.

The father gets angry and they start to cuff him!!! I was like, oh my God!... The cops then ask how much he makes a year, etc, etc. and Child Services drills them with 100 questions (literally) and threaten to arrest him. I chime in and they say they'll arrest me for interfearing with a criminal investigatin...

All in all, my neighboor now has lost his voice, has two kids who now think they father tried to drown him and a wife who is traumatized and me who wants to cut the **** heads off.

You think you guys live in a free country? Guess again before you ever discipline your kids, take them out, or teach them how to swim. I have utterly no respect for the United States Government (the most currupt industrial nation in the world)

The State has too much power and I'm tired of all this politically correct nonsense.

That's a horrible story & I'm sorry the Father & family had to experience that episode and the aftermath to follow. I know you're angry about it & you're venting here, but be glad you have the right to be angry & vent. I know you've had prob's with your local police, hey, I've been searched by cops at gun point just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but just a thought here for what its worth.

I've traveled quite a bit, to places that aren't exactly vacation spots but are industrial & I can tell you that the US isn't the most corrupt, scarey, or dangerous industrial country - not by a long shot. The woman who reported the incident was ethically wrong IMHO, she should have looked into it a bit first before taking such an action. The officials who came to the house don't know your neighbor like you do, they assume a 50% probability that the child is being abused & must perform due diligence in their investigation. They probably see child abuse everyday that would bring tears to your eyes, so they might be arseholes and ******* the Father. I'm not saying it's right, but they are there to protect kids & make sure his son is safe. Did he thank them for coming to check on his son first & then explain it was a misunderstanding, or get angry & insulted at the alegation of wrong doing. I'm not taking sides or saying the cops are good or bad, just think of this, you don't need to be cop or a fed to be an a$$hole, I run into all the time from all walks of life.
I'm sorry to hear of the bad exp's you have had, I've had a few myself. But, in my book, if you're keeping score, I'm proud & glad to be in the US, where we can talk about this. Because I've been in places where you & would already be missing because of this post, I'm not exagerating here. This is just a thought or two, I respect your anger & in no way mean to diminish the trajedy that has fallen upon you or this family.

Best wishes to the family,

Dave.

I respect that opinion and your right in some places...

The corruption in the U.S. so wide and deep it's accepted. There is so much stolen from you and never a question is asked.
Where the cops right to come into the house and cuff us? NO. Should they have looked into the matter? YES. Should they have maybe parked out back and looked in the pool area from afar and seen what we were doing? YES. Does child protection services take kids away fom disciplining them? YES. Did the U.S take young Elian away against his and his families will? YES.

Sometimes I'm not proud to be an American. But my financial opportunity is the only thing that I can say the USA offers.

Did you know a law was passed in San Fran, CA. that if you want a sex change the company you work (or insurance) has to pay for it? Now how about that same ind. in that co. that has a kid that needs new lungs? Or a worker that has a tumor? REJECTED!

I feel bad for the family, that type of gun-** attitude is detrimental to society. I have a chip on my shoulder because 9 years ago I was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for a victimless crime. It was all B.S. and politics. I faced 7 counts at 5 years a count in the 4th District in Raleigh, North Carolina for sending an adult videotape to an Adult store that an FBI agent ordered from me at a CES show in Las Vegas. There was nothing immoral or demeaning in this tape just good wholesome consentual sex. The charge, "Interstate Transport of Obsene Materials".

They choose NC because it is in the bible belt, and obsenity is not defined but rather is up to the "community standards".
I met with the Assistant Attorney General with my attorney and he offered me a deal, a felony conviction 4 months in a penitentiary and a $500,000 fine. He continued by saying the god had spoken directly to him and that he was to rid the world of ****. Well this guy was a few eggs short of a dozen and I decided to fight it.
A 7 person legal team and $600,000 in legal fees later I was aquitted of all charges by a jury of my peers. On the up side a legal precident was set, CNN covered the whole thing and the asst. attorney general got ripped in the media for wasting tax payers time & money and is now practicing in Greenland. I strongly believe that if you know you are in the right stand up for yourself.
