I am **********. I ordered a new oilpan gasket for my Viper by telephone (I gave him my credit card info as it was a special order) from my local dealer as after droping the oilpan last night I did not think that the rubber inner seal was in great shape. He told me that he would get the order out and have me a gasket before the Holiday.
I get home from work and the parts guy had left a message at 5:30 saying that he could not order a gasket without my Vin number- what the ^*&*%$-
First I have never heard of having to give a VIN number to order a part
Second- He looked me up on the computer to call me as he did not ask for my number when I ordered. So he could have easerly pulled the VIN at the same time.
SO I either put liquid gasket on the oil pan or wait to after the thanksgiving Holidays to continue my Paxton install- I do not want to start drilling the crank etc. with the oil pan off.
I am ********** enough that my next Viper is not coming from that dealership.
