My service engine light came on, my viper mechanic read the code and it indicated that the cam shaft and crankshaft were not in sync. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Also, I drove the car today and my oil light came on, the oil pressure is ok and the level is full. The antifreeze shows no sign of oil.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

On the oil light. Mine came on also. replaced switch ($14) and problem gone.

not sure about cam/crank deal.
there are two sensors.
1. crank position-pass side-by oil pan-low on block.
2. and cam position-driver side above crank pulley.

Mine has had light come on. I cleared codes and they are not back? ?

Mike, how is the car running? I only ask because after I purchased my car, but prior to delivery, the car received a new timing chain, gears and guides at 8K miles prior to it being delivered to me. This was done because the dealer was having problems getting the car to run properly, and I'm thinking that maybe it skipped a tooth on a gear or something like that. I'm purely speculating here and I'm no voice of expertise, I'm just throwin' it out there.
