Psychology of Colors Saved My A$$ Tonight!

The psychology of colors saved my ass tonight - the Yellow Viper that I was driving was clocked going 48 MPH in a 35. The policeman smiled and gave me a warning instead of a ticket. He said I even went up to 58 MPH in less than a block. I told him the truth - I didn't realize it got up to that speed so fast since I was less than 1/4 throttle He said he saw me take the corner at a high rate of speed and accelerate, but he couldn't believe how stable the car looked taking the corner that fast or how fast it accelerated afterwards. I got out and showed him the engine and told him about my Viper and offered to take him on a ride - a real short one just up to the speed limit. I could see that he wanted to take me up on my offer, but he was on duty and he couldn't. :(

Viper Race Yellow is the color of yellow smilies and it made the fine gentleman smile and give me a warning instead of a ticket. :D

I know I wouldn't have gotten away with just a warning if my Viper was Arrest-Me Red.

I'm getting me a Valentine One. I have a date Tuesday with a lady and we're supposed to meet near the Valentine factory - I'll see if I can save on shipping costs by buying it at the factory.

I've had too many speeding experiances lately, but only one ticket - 72 in a 55 while driving my truck passing 4 cars in a row that were doing 40 in a 55 for miles - and it was my first speeding ticket in over 15 years.

Kenny ,I wish I could say the same ..Au Contraire I was pulled over by a CHP today and issued a ticket for doing 87 MPH In a 65 MPH zone..What really upsets me is I was actually driving 65 MPH when he pulled me over..He clocked the guy in front of me that was speeding in his Black Lexus and assumed it was me because I was in the Viper. I'll be hiring a lawyer to fight this ticket !

Normal psychology doesn't work in Californicatia - everything is backwards. If you had an Arrest-Me Red Viper the CHimP would've told you to go faster and he would've arrested someone behind you for not keeping up with you.

BTW - I'm going to get a Valentine One to help me out with my luck. :p

Dimitrios - Shame on you. I think you were the only one speeding. The rest of us were obeying the law at ALL TIMES. Take responsibility for your actions - you should thank that officer for pulling you over and showing you the errors of your ways. I hope you learned your lesson.

Yeah....I'm shocked that anyone here drives without a radar detector!!

I've not been without once since I was about 20 in my old '78 280Z. I'm actually amazed at the number of people who don't have them. I've paid for them many, many times over with the tickets they've saved me.

I couldn't imagine driving a Viper w/o one....

In my cars I have a scanner, V-1 and CB.
I am so afraid of another ticket, I'm paranoid.
My 17-yr-old has never gotten a ticket and mom says, "don't drive like dad".
I was running open exhaust on my lowrider Sat. and couldn't enjoy it.
Somehow I think Russians have more freedoms.

Just a side note here guys.
I was in a local pawn shop about a month ago,
in the display case I could beleive my eyes......a very new
Valentine One radar detector. I bought it for $34.95!!!!!
That made my day!!
Obviously they had NO IDEA what it was worth,
I now own 3 of them. One in each car.
It might be worth popping in your local pawn shop from time to time and looking around.

I got my V1 3 weeks ago and used it on my trip to Athens Ga.Couldnt believe how many "bogeys" are out there. It was almost a game for me and the wife to find them and slow down.Probably makes you a safer driver in essence. As we all know...Its a plot,by The Man,with the sole intent and purpose of ...holdin us down.
