Keeping budget in mind what are my choices?

I'm kicking around the idea of Sparco Corsa but it's a little pricey.

Any other good choices and pros and cons.

I'll also be looking at getting a HANS.

If I can drop another point in Viperdays I can run in Stock ;) instead of prepared.

My engineering professor at Michigan State invented the HANS device! He used to show us pictures of him driving around the round abouts on campus with that device on!

Brings back memories.

Kirkey road race intermediate is around $250, have to fabricate brackets (the bottom is completely flat) although it's thin enough you could make the sliding tracks work underneath it. Excellent support, you'll realize how much bracing yourself you were doing. Local race shop had them on display so I could sit in one - highly recommended if you can find the seat you like. 15" wide version fits:

Tom...yeah bracing yourself is no lie. Last time out at Willow I pointed the bullet cam at myself. The flex of the seat and how much movement I made even in a 6 point harness was a bit alarming.

That is the same seat I have. Works good only I have the 16" version. A friend has the 17" wide one and there are some size issues with rubbing on the door with thst one.

Hoosier, I knew it would be close, but still surprised a 16" works.

A little further "plan ahead gotcha" is that if you install the seat and it lowers your rear end, it will also lower your elbow, which will then further be forced outward over the console. Very awkward shifting follows. The console is ****** and actually has little feet underneath to hold up the ****** part. The added height of the **** over the tunnel is at least an inch. If you lower the seat, at the same time start thinking about your elbow (maybe drive around with a 1" pad on the console and see how that feels) or ways to simply remove it on track days. Or, if you're going to keep the car forever and drive it into the ground (like me) then cut off the offending part and cover the tunnel with seat leather like I did.
