I picked up an extra radio benzel (surround piece) and had it painted yellow just around the radio. I have seen the kits but I thought it was too much. I just wanted alittle break up to all that black interior. Total project cost around $180.

Thanks guys.
Mod fever and Yellow fever combined.
I like the it was a easy. sort of cheap mod by viper standards.
And can be put back stock without a problem.

If anyone else trys it please post pics would like to see other color combos.

looks good jim.. but unfortunately repainting anything on a viper kills the resale value, and since you are trying to sell, you should knock about 10k off your asking price..

or just keep it!!

There is a 94 yellow RT with the entire dash painted yellow to match exterior color. Looks good.

Jim, you should just keep your car, the resale on them right is horrible.

Eddie N,
it is a spare. I would not harm the stock benzel piece.
It is safe and sound in box with all the other stock stuff
(shift knob never used,etc).
The spare benzel cost around $125 from Dodge.

I don't have to sell but want to... would rather have it in the hands of someone that can use it. 6 miles a month just doesn't cut it. So if it doesnt sell; in about 6 weeks or so off to storage for the winter and maybe by spring the viper resale market will be better.

FYI seeing that the Hummer dealer really wants to sell me a H2 The sale will go through them. In return free shipping to any buyer! And no sales tax on the H2 for me
smile.gif
So I can lower the price to $65k
best wishes

I keep forgetting that you cant drive all year up there. I spent 25 years in the midwest and just remembered why I moved to Florida.

Good luck on the sale

i hate winter in the east!! being an ex new yorker i dreaded the november-march months.. after many failed attempts to persuade my closest family members to jump ship to warmer climates along with me, i said screw you guys, i'll send you pictures of me on the beach in january, and then you will be unable to resist and will be sure to follow suit..

two years and some change later i am still out here in CA by my lonesome..

Jim, Looks good as usual! We all know the Viper will be going into storage and by spring, you'll forget all this selling nonsense. Just come up with a dual car seat (yellow of course) that mounts in the trunk, then you can get more use out of it
smile.gif
On second thought, that would only work on a GTS I guess.

Eddie N, your problem is you moved to Bakersfield! No wonder no one wants to follow you out west

-RUNNR,
it was painted professional at my local Dodge dealer.
Same paint that is on the car i guess. same color at least.
The paint job cost only $50 and the quality of the work is perfection.

You could do it on your own i guess. but being a exposed to the public interior piece, i wanted a top notch job.

Ken H, and Matt,
Thanks! I may take your advice Ken and put it in storage and
what spring brings. Just had it out for an hour and it is a great car and I do love it.

I will wait and see what happens.

I will continue to search for cool mods that are not too outrageous in price.
