So i reaplaced my rear diff, and when i was going back together. My drive shaft was kinda of a pain in the ass going back in, and i guess i tore or ripped the rear seal on the trans. Bc i drove it today and all was good, but there was a puddle under the car from the tail shaft of the trans. My question is what exactley did i tear, and how hard of fix is it? Never messed with the T56 before.

The seal will come out with a little patience and time. I tapped mine out with a flathead and a small hammer. Just work the edges until it pops put. The new one cost me $7 at Autozone.

Ok, i got the new seal, and really need to get the old one out. Anyone have pictures? I have taken a flat head and worked around the edges and still nothing.

There are quite a few youtube videos that can help you with seal removal and replacement..

Good luck!
