REBUILT VS WRECKED

Looking for an opinion have a chance to buy a rebuilt engine for my 1997 RT 10 from a reputable engine builder who also has a engine that was wrecked with only 3,000 miles. He says I'll have no problem with either and they are both basically the same price.What to do?

Is this a reputable engine builder or a reputable VIPER engine builder? On a car like a Viper, I'd prefer my major work to be done by those with VIPER knowledge, not just car knowledge.
