I recently took my 2002 rt/10 to my local dealership to have my thermostat replaced under warranty. What should have been a couple day repair has turned into over two weeks. They ordered wrong parts, sent my heads out to be tested, got heads back and yet again had wrong parts. Is there any recourse I can take as I will have lost 2 1/2 weeks with my car(I am leasing it so I am really paying half a months rent for them to have the car)? Just wondering. It seems like they kept trying stall for some reason.

Thanks

Best make a visit if you have not already. Time to starting raising a bit of you know what.

Read the fine print of your warranty. I am sure it has a disclaimer about no reimbursement during "down time"

Good luck.

NEVER take your viper to a dealer. I learned that a long time ago. Each time and with 2 different so called expert on staff tech Dodge dealers, they either broke something else, stepped on the splitter, or got grease spots in the interior. Hopefully you have a tuner shop nearby (as I have--TNT) that is more careful and accurate in their work. Its worth the extra cost if any, and your time.

My first question? Is this Tech working on your car a certified Viper Tech?

Second question? Who is the service manager, cause I got a set of vise grips that would love to meet his nuts.....

True, most dealerships are a pos, my local one is, but the Viper Tech is very knowledgeable, and honest, although his bosses are not, no B.S.

My 2c, do not take it back to this dealership, lesson learned, I would find A tuner shop, like mentioned earlier, or seek out advise and history with other local Viper owners..

Hope you end up loving this car, and buying out the lease at the end..good luck.
