Repairs/warranties - Looking for Viper Tech in Cherry Hill, NJ Area

Hello fellow members:

I am the proud new owner of a '98 RT/10 and live in the Cherry Hill, NJ area which is about 20 minutes from downtown Philadelphia.

I wanted to get any advice I can from fellow owners regarding upcoming service work I may need. My first question is if any other members have a Viper mechanic recommedation that is qualified, reliable and reasonable who won't try to rake me over the coals, in the area in which I live.

I have contacted several Dodge dealers in the area and all of them claim to have a Viper tech on their service team. I am dubious of this claim and was wondering if any members in my area have had good experiences. If not, how do you go about finding one? What questions should I ask and is there any certifications I want to see? I sure don't want to be an experiment for the local dealer's mechanic who does not possess the specialized tools or know-how to properly service my snake!

A second question relates to the purchase of an aftermarket extended warranty. I would like to know if anyone has found a company that sells in the state of NJ a reasonably priced warranty that would be honored by a qualified Dodge Viper mechanic/dealership. My snake has 7500 miles, has had the fluids changed regularly and has had the recall work performed. Can anyone offer advice?

Call John Kerwin or Joe Kalas at Barbera Dodge in Philadelphia. These guys are top notch. They have worked on all my vipers. Once i took mine to another dealer & my car came back looking very different than when i dropped it off.

Let them know that i referred you to them.

Buehler Dodge in Eatontown NJ is not too far from you.
Darren Buhler is an avid viper enthusiast and he races
also. HE is very popular in North Jersey and New York.

My favorite guy is Chuck Tator, Tator's Dodge.
He is about 2.5hrs from you, but the ride is definitely
worth it. Awesome guy, Awesome knowledge and he won't pork
you, actually, he will go out of his way to not pork you.

I make the trip, I am in Yardley, not too far from you.
As far as warranties, parts, etc., he is the man.
Twenty percent discounts and all the free advice one
could ever need.

If you want to stay even more local, I've heard some good
things about Barbera Dodge in Roxborough. I think they
have two techs, John, and Jim who also got good reviews here.

I can only speak from my experience, and I know many, many,
other guys will speak of the VIPER WIZARD Chuck Tator,
with such Kudos, you'll think he's a GOD

What work do you need done? Barbera in Philly are crooks period. I know of a great friend of mine who is an ASE Master Tech in Cherry Hill. If you need a mechanic who won't steer you wrong email me for details. He is the most honest guy I know. Trust is important. You can tell him I sent you. Vipers are CAKE to work on.

Barbera does good work but is expensive. I have used them and they seemed to do a good job, however there were several extra miles on my car that didn't quite seem necessary to me. I don't plan on going back.

dont waste your time, avoid the run arounds....go to chucks...trust us!!
