It's easy once you do it. I have a 93, so it may be the same. Where the front latches are,look by the velcro strip. Underneath of the part is a weird L-shaped pin close to the canvas. Pull that pin out, mine are hard to pull out, so yours may be too. Once the pin clicks open, colapse the arm from top to bottom, it will still be connected at the bottom though. Make sure that the thick plastic tab that goes the length of the passanger and driver side is dislodged. Once you did this, you do the other side the same. Becareful not to bend anything.
