I finally did it, I took out an ad to sell my beloved 02 Z06. I never thought I'd see the day, but after seeing the new coupe, I couldn't resist the Viper any longer..
My wife made me a deal, she's letting me take some money from the sale of our house, plus the money from the Vette (it's paid off) so I can put a significant chunk of cash down on a Viper. Sometimes I can't sleep at night thinking about it... Is this normal? I've never even ridden in one!
My question for you guys that know is this: If I wait a couple more months before I place an order for a new coupe, will there be any left? I understand dealers get allocations from Dodge, but do/will these things actually sell out? I've already given up on getting an 06 FE, I just want the coupe with some of the 'copperhead' wheels they put on the FE. Dealers out here are asking for a $1000 deposit...
Oh yeah, for those of you that own an SRT-10, what does 535lb/ft of torque feel like? I had a Lightning with 450lb/ft and it pulled like a freight train when it could hook up, I can't imagine having more, in a lighter package.
