I want to do 19s, but will use 26.8" tall tires in the rear and the 275-35-19 Front tires which are 26.6" tall, instead of the 275/30, or 285/30-19 which are 1" shorter(25.6/25.8).

Basically the same overall diameter of the 20F/20R Nitto Invo set up most run on 20s but on 19s, which have more side wall.

Simialr to Bushido's Blue and White.

I want to know if any of you out there have that set up with Eibacks and lowering caps with no rubbing issues between the wheel fenders and the top of the tires, front and rear.

Front bottom clearance at the nose corners will be similar to a stock 18" set up on just Eibacks, so I'm not worried about that.

thanks!
if you can post some pics, great!!

You'll probably need to run a 25 series tire in the back w/ 20's if you plan on going with Eibachs and lowering caps. I think it is a great look, but you will be scraping on everything...

I was rubbing at stock height w/ 20's on I-forged wheels (Michelin Pilots) - I believe they were 35 series out back (have Nittos and 25 series now and will be lowering my car with lowering caps soon).

The Pilots 345-20s are 28" tall.
The Invos 345-25-20 are 26.65"
and the 19s I want to run are 26.8" tall.

I mis-read your initial post... thought you were going with 19's up front and 20's in the rear.

Bump for ya.

Thanks for the Pics!
your rear tires in 20 are 26.8" tall, which the same size I'm looing at in 19", so I can see that it can be done.

However on the front, yours are 25.8" tall, and the ones I want to run are 26.6" tall. Basically they will raise the car .4" from the floor at the bottom chin, but they will also eat up .4" of wheel well gap between the tire and the wheel well.

Do you feel in your set up at the front tires you have enough gap to reduce it .4" further from where it is now?

Thanks!!

There is plenty of room to gain .4 all the way around. Keep in mind like you said that is height as well.

Are you going 20/20, or 19/20? I was thinking about doing 19" Front but didn't want them to look like ballons on the front if you know what I mean.

I do tires all day, so let me know if you have any other questions.

Going 19s all around, same tire set up with ccws sp600s as bushido's car.
275-35-19F PS2, 345-35-19 (hoosiers) rears. both 25.6" height.
see bushido's car, I like how it seats and the tire profile he has. He has PS2s 19s all around.

Ok, here is the look I'm looking for, or close to it, with Eibacks + Caps. This car has KW2s though.
He has 19s all around on PS2s.
27.2" tall rears, and 26.6 inches tall fronts (275-35-19)

It really closes the gap in the front, and at the same time you don't drag the nose like you do with the 25.6 inch "30" profile tires in 19s, or the "25" profile tires in 20s on the front.

Red, I like your stance, do you think your front gap in the front tires could be reduced 1/2" with a taller tire?

I can't run that low of a ground clearance. I have about 3" now with just caps and the 18" 25.6" tall tires I'm running.

The gap could be reduced in the front with a taller tire but I am not sure how it would look. The front tire sidewall would be significantly taller than the rear tire sidewall. That's why I went with this size.

It is pretty damn low but not unbearable. It's goinna scrape with springs and caps with pretty much any size wheel/tire combo, so I just went for looks. :D

The yellow one in the classifieds is slammed!
I'm surprised he does not run with the 28" tall PS2s (20s) in the rear.

What lowering suspension mods does he have?

The 28" tall PS2 20" tire will rub on most stock height cars. Almost a guarantee to rub with any lowering mods.

Not so. Mine is lower than most, and no rub. If you want it on the ground, they are too tall though. Mine is lower than eibachs or caps, and I don't have an issue. If I went lower I would. If you have worn out shocks and tired springs, you may have a problem though.

I have heard of a couple of stock heigth cars that didn't rub with them (both ACRs). Yours is the first lowered one I've heard of that didn't. You got a keeper there. :D

John Purner at CCW told me they had quite a few problems with people mounting the 28" tall PS2 tires on their 20"s on the Gen IIs and run into rubbing problems at stock height, but it was a hit or miss type of thing.
