sidesill fake pipe paint idea

Yesterday I was in Autozone and saw some "hammered finish" metal-look paint in a spray can. I wonder what that would look like on the fake sidepipe area that is painted black from the factory?

Any thoughts?

Personally I would rather have them red like mine, or black. If you start having the apperance of "accessorizing" the car, it will take on a "Rice" look. Have someone photoshop it for kicks though...

I tried to use that paint on my dash, did not work well.

I repainted my original sills once and cleared the whole thing, resulting in gloss black, what was no good. When I painted my new sills I went back to flat black and LOVE IT.

At least you can get high temp black pretty easiely. Those sills get hawt!
