Soft top - how to remove?

Hi folks hope you’re doing great!
I’m a new member of the forum and a proud new owner of a 95 RT10.
This is my first Viper, never had any previous contact with the car. Im in love with it.
Ive watched all the videos on youtube but couldnt figure out why I cant get the soft top off.
While I unlatch the windshield fixings, the rear part of it keeps attached to the car. I try to press the rear “locks” down, but they come back up automatically. Im avoiding applying too much force to it to avoid breaking something.
What should I do? Watched some videos and looks like its so easy.

It's basically a clasp, just pull on the longest part of the little finger and lift up. After you get one corner up, just put a towel under it to hold it up, then go to the other side and do the same. Then lift off all in one swift movement
