I removed my carpet and heat shielding material under my seats to dry it out again. Is it my imagination or are the floorpans made of steel? Seems odd that they'd build 90% of the car out of alternative materials and the make the one part that gets the most exposure to moisture (in my car anway ;) ) out of steel. I can't see any exposed metal but it looks like the tunnels that hold the seat up are spot-welded to the floorplans. Am I wrong about them being steel?

Also, are there any tops and windows for a 94 RT/10 that stand a chance of not leaking? I have the NorthWind setup and they leak like mad.

Yes, they are steel. Interestingly, Dodge had 2 Gen1s in Corpus Christi that were used for real-world corrosion testing. Several days a week, they would drive the beach along the surf's edge to kick up salt and sand underneath.

I talked to one of the test drivers while I was at a PCA event in Corpus. The PCMs were programmed with a 3000rpm rev limiter to keep them from getting wadded up before the test was over. He was bemoaning the rev limit, but I told him I figured he could still have way more fun than allowed by law at 1/2 the rated engine rpm. He smiled and nodded.
