Are the size of the rods in the pre 01 different GTS different then the rods in a 01 GTS?
So when replacing a 01 piston with an pre 00 piston, I should change the rods also to pre 00 rods and not use the 01 rods with a pre 00 piston?

Also, besides cast vs forge, is the only size difference between an 01 piston and pre 00 piston are .002? Cast being 3.997 and forge being 3.995 (could someone verify please). So this means the cast are slightly larger the the forge because the forge expand?

I believe that is correct. The forge piston have the larger clearences due to expansion. The holes in the block are all the same. I want to say the rods are all the same all the way thru 2002, but maybe somebody that knows for sure can respond. Maybe Doug Levin or one of the other tuners might know, or even Chuck Tator(914-763-3136).

I called Chuck and he advised me to post on here for an correct answer. I've heard the rods on pre 00 are a different size then on an 01 but was unsure.
