I had my dealer install the Stoptech 2-piece slotted aerorotors front and rear on my 2008. Just as an FYI the exact weight savings are stock rotor at 26.5 lb each minus the weight of the Stoptechs at 17 lbs each = 9.5 lbs saved per corner and a total weight savings of 38 lbs.

Great news! I'm "adding lightness" to my old GTS also.

Stock front Gen2 rim + existing tire, = 58 #
Stock rear Gen2 rim + existing tire, = 65 #
New front SSR rim + existing tire, = 47 #
New rear SSR rim + existing tire, = 52 #

Total weight savings = 48 #

Using the same tires assures that we are comparing apples to apples.

Its not merely a loss of mass, its mass that takes power to accelerate and decelerate rotationally, and its also unsprung weight. I didn't expect to feel anything, but I was surprised to find that it did make a noticable difference. Its lighter on its feet now. Feels faster, more agressive.

How much for the Stop Tech rotors? Losing another 38 pounds of rotating, unsprung mass sounds like a great idea!

Dayum! Dems some pictures! Thanks!

I think I like the slotted, over the drilled. But only because I heard cracks form at the holes, on drilled.

Those are some light rims you got there, plus the light rotors, you must be feelin pretty stoked.
