Take over my 02 GTS lease $894 per month

Hey guys, I need to get rid of the car as my family just run in to some large medical bills. Here is all info on my car and lease. Also I'm located in San Jose CA now.

A couple questions:

Where does the car need to be turned in?

Will the car need to be returned to stock before turning in?

What is the residual at turn-in?

John, the car can be returned to any Dodge dealer. Yes the car would have to be stock if you want to get your $ out of the aftermarket parts. The labor on making it stock is about 7 hours ~$700 but ($300 brakes, $400 cats, the rest is easy) you can easly collect $1500+ for selling the parts. I can make it stock if you want. Also last 3500 were put during my drive from NY to CA where I averaged 26 mile/g.

Months Remaining: 19 months
Miles Remaining: 29,000 free miles
Mileage Allowance: 12,000 per year
Lease End Buyout: $41,400.00
Lease End Date: February 2006
Original Lease Term: 48 months
Excess Mileage Charge: $0.20 per mile

Most banks or lease companies will negotiate on the residual, BTW.

Would that be at the end of the lease or during?

I believe it is at the end. Maybe you can negotiate to but it now for $41K. Good luck in either case.

You can negotiate a buyout now if you are going to pay off the whole thing, but otherwise, wait 'till the end.

Yes when it rains it poors. I think that I'm going to see a shrink now too or I'll die from stress. The only good thing is that I'm loosing some LBS.

In a year and a half you will be able to buy a 2002 GTS for only $41K!! For comparison, show me any clean 2000 or 2001 GTS for such a low price with decent miles

That's after you have forked out nearly 19K dollars. (17K with sellers incentive)
