Well, another key Viper guy is on his way out the door. This week's issue of AutoWeek reports that Neil Hannemann has left DC for Saleen. He will lead their product development and certification programs, including the S7 supercar.

Congrats Neil, your work will be missed by the Dodge boys.

Neil is one of the nicest guys around, and a heck of a contributer to the Viper racing programs. It's a shame to lose him.

I doubt it. The Gen3 is well on the way to being completed. Whether or not we ever get the opportunity to buy one is probably a very real issue. I wouldn't have felt this way 6 months ago. Daimler is ruining the company we all love.

Jon B. may have to help me out here, but I seem to recall that Neal left Viper quite a while back (2 or 3 years ago). He was the original GTS-R project leader. But I seem to recall he went to a more "routine" position on the small car platform after all the World Traveling got just a bit to much for his family life.

I'd guess he was looking for a change more than anything, and the right opportunity popped up. Now that Saleen has been bought, it should be an interesting and fun position for Neal.

Don't you just love AutoWeek, they pictured a GT-2 not a "real" GTS-R in the blurb.

Jon?
