Things to Check when buying 2002 RT

I am in the market for a 2002 RT Viper. What should I be inspecting?

Step 1 is to buy a copy of the "Viper Buyer's Guide" by Maurice Liang.

BEFORE you even think about "inspecting" a Viper...run said Viper's VIN through a friendly Dodge dealership's computer...realizing that they cannot show you the personal info of previous owners...but they can show you date & location "in service", recall(s), warranty work, and any "red flags".

Door sag if they sag they will damage the weather stripping
rear window seal
curb damage in the front.
Anti-sway bar link rubber.
clear coat pealing on edges
Foam around rear speaker
tires age
Driver seat bolster condition easily damage getting in and out.
Lumbar bulbs cracked missing
Check cloth top for wear holes from living in the trunk.(over drive, passengers head)
Wheel corrosion
both keys and remotes
headlight condition.

off the top of my head..

All obvious things you check on any car.
clutch, brakes, oil, drivablity
