What should I use? Any advice on doing it? Tips?

I hear some people using paint from Home Depot, but was wondering if that stuff was safe with gasoline or even break cleaning fluid.

AB,

I have used Valspar for years. They make automotive paints also. It is NOT water based. It is equal parts paint and equal parts activator. So it is easy to mix. I have even repainted on top of the old paint and it sticks. Price is about $38/ gallon. I have cars coming and going all the time. I try not to spill any break fluid :) The stuff works very well and does not pull up.

Now U-Coat-It is good stuff too. But at $250+ per garage stall, that is a little steep.

Some people use Rustoleum. It works but it is water based. That is the reason I stayed away from it. The mixing is not 50/50. It is a full gallon that you add a small amount of activator to.

If you do a floor that adds "specs" for cosmetic reasons, don't just throw it by hand. Use a hand held seed spreader for a professional even job.

If your floor is not new, you will need to etch the floor with Muratic Acid. It's cheap, about $4 / gallon.

I don't like open tile or decking. If you spill something, you have got a mess under the floor.

AAHHH! I knew this was going to lead to the Bend Pak pictures! LOL!

Anyways...I won't go with race deck flooring...I want to go with paint...but I don't want to worry about gas or break fluid cleaner taking the paint off...so what is best for that. My floor in my garage is 6" deep and new.

I used the Rustoleum Epoxy. It works real well, even in the north with all of the snow and sand it does not lift...AL...
