Questions, questions...

1) Is there an up-rated Gen2 timing chain cover gasket? ...I understand it's not a rare occurrence for these OE gaskets to give up?

2) When removing the timing chain cover, is it possible to do so, without removing the water pump (leaving it bolted up to the cover)?

3) Is there a service / replacement interval for the timing chain, I'll check for stretch anyway?

4) Does "the year matter" for the crankshaft oil seal? (I have a 2001 seal, will this be OK to fit a '97?)

Thanks.

I just had my timer cover gasket replaced. But I don't know if they used an upgraded gasket or not. It was covered under warentee so I did not pay much attention.

Anyone have a good way to get the oil off the top of my intake?
