Swapping a ring gear onto a new center section. The 2003 and 2004 Viper Factory manual does not give torque values for the ring gear bolts (or much else for that matter). Doing some research, I found one site says 83 Ft lbs and another site says 100 ft lbs.

Also looking for torque specs for the center section caps and the bolts that hold the diff cover to the diff itself.

There is tons of info on the Dana 44 Diffs in the Jeep Manuals.

WHy nothing in the factory Viper manuals. You can buy internal diff parts from Dodge so its not like there is nothing that can be fixed on the inside.

Thanks

I checked my service manual as well with no details. Looks like dodge considers the entire pumpkin a service item and they do not provide the details for the pinion gear bolt torque specs - other than the standard bolt torque specs. The 80 ft pound torque number I saw refers to the outer pinion mounting bolts.

Good luck.
