Have you thought about a "Jammer"?

"85 OF 200" installed a "Laser Intercepter" laser jammer in two of my cars.

UNBELIEVABLE results, is an understatement... After install, we tested the jammer with three different laser guns. We got speed readings on all the cars around us. My car, with the LI, was invisible by all three guns. I was amazed. I not only was invisible but the LI told me what kind of radar gun I was being hit with....

** While the LI deflects all laser, it is illegal to block radar. You must still use a radar detector. Radar however is indescriminate. If a cop is using radar, unless you are the only car on the road, you will pick up the signal when radar is shot at surrounding cars. If you get hit with laser, the LI will cause the laser gun to read "error".

CAR DUDE...Sorry to hear a simple task ended up being a chore...:smirk:

Thanks, and your most definately right as it should have been a simple task. Funny thing you mention it, my guy at Car Toys was begging me to let him install the ****** SRX as it had the Laser Shifting technology.

I was thinking about the technology and ****** sells it free standing as well. https://www.escortradar.com/store/laser-shifter-zr4.html I might be going that way. It actually works with the 9500 ix I just purchased.

This is a great site for info

Radar Detector Tests and Reviews by Guys of LIDAR

I am not connected to this site in any way, just good info

Yes I have seen that site, and it is very good info. They only problem with the results are they do not factor in the uselessness of the constant false alarms you get with each. If a boy cryed wolf every fifteen minutes, eventually he will be right. I think the range of the Valentine 1 is second to none, but how many times does your V1 go off that you ignore it until it screams. Beep...beep....beep...beepbeepbeep (oh I guess I should slow down now, where is he?).

I purchased the pasport 9500ix (blue display)about a month ago. I really like the GPS feature, and the styling of the unit. The only thing i might miss from the Valentine unit is the directional arrows giving you an idea of where the threat is coming from. I also the auto "mute" function on the Passport is a great feature. I like my passport and recommend it!
