User Friendly Site \"NOT!\"

I will continue just browsing and gathering very helpful information from you guys but I think the site is complicated as for as trying to be a part of the club. Every new member has problems posting a pic! The sites "Contact Us" at the bottom is not even a valid email address! I feel as though status is limited to special members and new members are not felt welcomed. I am a Viper Owner not an "Enthusiast" as the site diplics me!

Re: User Friendly Site

Trust me I hang out on 5 boards, picture posting is always a beetch. The great thing here is all you have to do is yell...help, somebody host my pics and post them, it has made many of us lazy to the point of never learning the process. As to getting any moderator help simply IM Tony Rickard aka Vipermad and he can sort out what ya need. Do a search under user name Vipermad and then IM him off a thread.

Re: User Friendly Site \"NOT!\"

I did get you email, but with the holidays it has been a battle to keep up (I fell in the hole to the tune of about 100 emails), I sincerely apologize. The instructions for posting images are located in the "FAQ" in the menu bar above.

FAQ

Here is what is says about posting images:

How do I add an image to my message?

In order to add an image to your message or your signature, you must have the image already available on a web server. This can be an image on your own personal web page, for example. To place an image within a message, simply use the following Markup Tag:

[*image]http://www.url_to_image.com/image_name.gif[*/image]

For example, if you have an image called cateye.gif and its available from your own website at [*url=http://www.mywebsite.com/pics]http://www.mywebsite.com/pics[*/url], then you would use the following image markup:

[*image]http://www.mywebsite.com/pics/cateye.gif[*/image]

(added the "*" so you can see the code, the "*" is not part of the code)

Note: To keep the forums loading quickly for everyone, it is recommended that you do not exceed 35k for your image size.

Additional Comments:

To make thing a little easier, we offer the galleries which gives you a place to host the images if you do not have a place. It is a little tricky to get the address you need to enter, but if you search "image" someone posted a good explanation of how to get it a few weeks back.

Re: User Friendly Site

It does seem overly difficult to find the picture information for pictures uploaded into "Gallery" so you can copy it. Seems like it was easier before but now is more difficult. Any way to make that aspect more friendly.

Posting pictures to the gallery itself it quite easy. The difficulty is finding the address so you can place it in a post.
