Vin # and what each number & letter represent

I'm triing to find out if a car matches the correct color and stripes . Does this show in the Vin# or how do I find out? thanks

Thanks, I tried to use the Viper registry and after i put in the vin# and search I keep getting this message (1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DES LIMIT 1' at line 1 . don't know what I'm doing wrong?

The VIN does not correlate in any way to the color, it merely indicates what it is (Viper) and where built.

If you email me the entire 17 digit VIN, I may be able to tell you what it's features, I have much VIN info through 2002.
