viper does not start right up

ok here the problem. when i turn the key the viper does not start up. i need to turn the key 3 or 4 times and pump the gas the car starts but boggs down then a few seconds later the car is fine. any ideas???

When you turn the key on (not all the way to start) can you here the fuel pump run ? Might need to put a fuel pressure gauge on the intake fuel port and see if it is building pressure.

Mine does the same thing when it hasn't been run for a while. Or when the fuel pressure has gone back down to zero. Before I start mine when it's cold, I turn the key to run so I can hear the fuel pump. I do this twice then start it. This creates fuel pressure and it makes the car start up with only 2 or 3 cranks. One of these days I'll just have it fixed so I won't havet to worry about it anymore.

Hoosier is correct. You may prefer to live with it as correction requires you to remove the fuel pump. Ugh!
