Hello, what is the best way to wash and dry a factory rt10 car cover? :dunno: It seems like it is shedding and the Viper logo is tearing on the edges. It's 11 years old.

Washing is not the worst thing but drying will ruin it fast. If you do wash just cover something with it and let it air dry. If it is that old and you do not want to buy a new one just DON'T shake it out, it might tear and really fall apart they are not meant to last forever ya know. ;)

If you can find the instructions, they say to wash it in a machine using a delicate cycle with Fantastic cleaning fluid (spray). Been doing it for 7 years now. Works perfectly. As others have mentioned, although the instructions say you can dry it with low heat, the typical spin cycle gets it pretty dry and I just put it back on the car.
