I run headers to straight pipe(no cats) to a corsa.Corsa has nice exits but they turn black pretty quickly.So polish them up or give them a spray of flat black rustoleum BBQ paint(good for 800 deg f).Nope it isn't dressy but looks very functional on a performance car.Have seen it on American muscle but not any euro cars that were not real racers.So what do you think?Polish for the poser exotic I'm a rich guy look, or flat black for the bad asx real racer guy look? Chrome is poser. Polish is middle road. The flat black would definitely be pure track. Post pics when you do it.

Put the crack pipe down or step away from the tail pipe fumes. Maybe you should paint the rear bumper also as that gets exhaust soot on it also.

It's exhaust.

Tips turn black. It's what they DO.

If you're the kind of guy who's polishing the insides of your tips you're probably better going for the chrome look.

Do your wheels get brake dust on them when you drive? Would you paint them black?

If you haven't guessed, I vote NOT to paint the tips black. I bet your car sounds great!

I don't mind cleaning off the wheels.California duster or just wash.Zaino makes it easy.Car is sapphire blue so it doesn't show on the bumper and neither does the brake dust.They look ugly half blackened(the outside).Yep I have cleaned several times but it gives me an image of myself as a shoe shine guy at the airport or at a nice resturant.The shiny Corsa tips look good on a dark blue car.I need to get a life.Ah screx it I'm going to use the can of flat black.
