What is considered "high mileage" for a 2001

I hear some people talk about having 1,400 miles on this one or 2,500 miles on that one. Obviously, that is a "low mileage" car. What is the concensus on the point at which a 2001 would go from "low mileage" to "high mileage"? :dunno:

I guess I should have mentioned...I have 28,500 on mine.

I have 76,000 on my 96'. I bought it in April 2005 w/51k on it, so I'm averaging somewhere around 10k/yr :headbang: I think I put almost the same miles on the Viper (weekend playtoy) than my DD each year :)

For some people here it can vary from 100 miles to 300,000 miles. Drive it and have fun with it. Don't worry about the mileage. It's meant to be driven.

I'm on my way to party at UGA tomorrow (~200 miles roundtrip), a charity event at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday (~100 miles roundtrip) and a trip to north GA/Chattanooga, TN next weekend (~400 miles roundtrip). All will be done in the Viper. Go ahead and make that 77k on my car :headbang: :D

Agreed!! I got my '99 10 months ago with 63K miles on it. Now it has almost 71K, and drives great. I could not imagine having a car such as this, owning it for 3, 4, or 5 years, and only putting a few miles on it each year. So sad:(
I do understand the saying," to each, his own" though. I guess their enjoyment comes from the pristineness of having a garage queen show car. I, on the other hand, look for ANY excuse to turn that little snake key over, and feel the rush.:headbang:

Last year I traded my '96 GTS for $48500, which is only $1,500 less than I paid for it, and it had 49,980 miles on it. The blue/whites are in demand, so don't let it go for a song....

My '94 has 90K miles, so I guess it's worth next to nothing. Yippee, that means I can drive it whenever I want, however I want, and have fun 11.5 months a year. Priceless.

Wow.

I cant stop driving mine. Got it in august and I make up excuses to take it out. I bring it everywhere and just cant help it. It really is so much fun to drive. I have an 01 with 22.6 on it now and am hoping at some point the newness wears off and i reserve it for weekends and other special events.

Anything over 10,000 miles is pretty much considered high mileage on these cars. Too bad that this is the case because with that few miles, you barely know the car. I am at 46,100 as of a few days ago and love every mile. Hopefully my next exotic will get driven just as much.

We have averaged over 1700 miles per month of use since mid April of 2000. I guess we don't qualify for any awards in the low miler category. The only advantage I can see to not piling miles on the most fun car one could own is to afford those of us who may wear one out (you know... 200K plus miles) a chance to buy a well taken care of garage queen. I say keep up the good work!:2tu:
