What will I get if my dealer warranties the transmission in my '04? I have a bad 3rd gear grind when shifting (only that gear).

I was told that there are gen 2 transmissions in the supply system but no gen 3 transmissions.

The dealer will have to do a 70% sheet to see if the repair will cost 70% or more of the price of a new transmission. If it does not then they will HAVE to repair it. There are parts available for a re build even if there are no transmissions out there.

Steve this is the same problem I have ran into with the differnetal. there are no complete systems out there but there are guts and shells so I had to send it to a dealer that could fix it.

I'm having the same issue going into second gear, and only second gear. I've changed the fluid twice thinking it would fix this but it hasn't. My car is an '06 with 6400 miles.
