wheel polish for 18\'\'oe wheels

Just bought some new/used 18'' oem wheels and they were shipped with only a round piece of cardboard to protect the wheel surface. On the trip, the ribs of the cardboard have rubbed fine ribbed scratches into the surface of clear coat.

Any products out there that would take out these fine scratches and leave the clear coat...................clear?

I use the same clear coat polish I do for paint on the wheels. 3M or Meguiars with a buffer.

You're not polishing metal - just clearcoat, so don't use metal polish. I was using fine swirl remover polish (made for using on paint) from Meguiar's. It really put a very bright shine on the wheels; more so every time I used it.

That my thought, I don't want to use a metal polish. I want a paint/clearcoat polish. Thanks
