want to do a wideband on my 98 GTS and just wondering what you guys like.

I have the innovate lc1/xd16 combo in my supercharged 67 camaro and I love that freaking setup. It lets you log everything and has great laptop software, so i'm probably thinking of going with this again. Just wanted to check up and see if there are any other great products i'm missing out on?

also where do you guys like to install the sensors? I am going to cut the cats out and was thinking of adding the sensor in that area on the drivers side. I am buying the SCT tuner also so can I just turn off the rear 02 sensors and add the wideband in that location?

Although I personally do not have a wideband on my car, I do see the Innovate mentioned quite a lot. Must mean something. :hmmm:

As far as the sensor placement goes, the turnout at the sills before the cats seems to be the most popular spot. I have my factory sensors (OK, they're quick fires...) right at the inside of the outer frame rails. There's room to put another one there if I wanted.

Dave is your O2 sensor pointing slightly downward? If so that is not good. A downward placement allows and moisture accumulation in the sensor body. I believe it is recommended to be at least 10 degree upward.

Yes it is pointing down at a 30 degree angle. Unfortunately, anything above that angle there's a car in the way. ;)

Anyway, it give me no problems at the current installation.

I have the LC-1/XD-16 set up. Since you're familiar with that already, I'd recommend staying with that. In the Illustrated Upgrades section, there's a complete "how-to" on installation and sensor placement....but you have to be a VCA member to access it. Put the sensor in the bend at front of sidesill. Dave's pic show's the recommended re-position of front O2's (if you've got headers with the O2 **** in the 3/8 cylinders)
