Whining type noise on start up?

2002 rt10, stock. For about the last month or so I hear a type of whining noise near front of engine only when I start the car- about 3-6 seconds after- I could not pinpoint it though. It lasts for about 5 seconds. It does not start right away after I turn the car on, but around 3 to 6 seconds AFTER starting. Does not matter if air or heat is on or not as far as I know. Any ideas?

nope- k&n. They are new from last fall.

I read somewhere maybe the fan or something with just being a belt that either needs replacing or a shot of belt spray...weird thing is it only happens near start up.

THEN I also just hear more noise in general- like a humming noise over and above the regular engine noise...hard to pinpoint somewhere near the engine- mid to front. Car performs the same as before.

belts usually more of a squeal, whine more like an air leak, either in or out

AIR LEAK? I did a search...nothing came up..where might I get leaks from? My performance on the car has not really changed.

Do NOT use belt spray! You will make more noises then you would ever want!
When you start her, does the fan cycle after start up? If you'd like give me a call and we'll talk about what may be going on
