I think you are on to something. It might be quite a deterrent if they were lead on every time they tried to scam a VCA member. They would deem it too much work for the one person who might be suckered if they had to mail out checks and send emails 500 times for every "hit". They would do better making minimum wage.
Next time I get a bogus email, I will toy with them instead of just deleting the email.
