Almost looks like a Viper in some ways from the front doesn't it?

Aparently this new Cunningham, at an estimated $200,000, will be powered by a 7.0-liter V12 with about 500 horsepower. Of course if you get one, you have to have to change your name to Richie and hang out with guys that walk around with leather jackets and giving the "thumbs up" all the time!

Check out the article here ... Cunningham

Here is the original Cunningham. I'm thinking this started the Shelby appearance that then started the Viper.

This is actually a design that originated at Chrysler. Bob had been pushing to have Chrysler develop that division into a more "premium" car brand. You might remember the big 300 and the Atlantic show cars? They both featured the same color, long hoods, and 2+2 seating.

If Daimler did not come to the plate and buy Chrysler, you can be that Bob would have pushed extremely hard to produce his special vision. When it became apparent that the deal was going to happen, there was no real value in creating a premium brand. Do you think the executives at Daimler would have wanted to compete with their own premier brand?

As for the Cunningham connection, Bob owns two of the originals. He has long been a fan of the brand. I guess this was a method for Bob to stay some what active in the Automobile industry? Now at least he will has a much bigger hand in the future of cars. The Cunningham will go on, even with Bob working at GM.

The plan was never for Bob to be involved in the day to day operation, so things will stay status quo.

BTW. They are actually targeting a 600 Horsepower motor.
