For those going from VEC2 to AEM
You don't need the CAGS eliminator anymore. The AEM eliminates the skip shift.- HOdbleFman

Need recommendation for install of knock sensor
red98, I don't think knock sensors would be much benefit for picking up the type of sound you are hearing. Knock sensors are used to pick up sounds of detonation in the engine under load that are inaudible to you from the driver's seat and then compensate with ignition and fuel changes...- HOdbleFman

red98rt10, the AEM is a stand alone engine management system. The VEC2 is a different, piggy back, engine controller. I don't think Justin normally tunes the VEC2.- HOdbleFman

Call Justin Nenni at Tuning Concepts (www.tuningconcepts.com). His tuning ability is amazing. My car drives better than it did stock and makes about twice the horsepower. He's a great guy to deal with as well. Ryan- HOdbleFman

Cool site if you need something fabercated for your viper.
The CAD software they have is pretty limited on the geometry of parts that can be made. However, it does allow you to import AutoCAD files into it, but I've done it before and it is not the easiest task. Importing it is one thing, making the ACAD file workable in emachineshop is a challenge.- HOdbleFman

Make sure you crank the same number of times for each cylinder. The VEC2 will compensate for altitude since it has its own MAP sensor. The VEC2 still uses the stock PCM for IAT readings and compensates for a rise in temperature based on the stock enrichment table. I'd go with the AEM for...- HOdbleFman

Leslie, I don't think it would be worth it for you. I'm not sure what modifications you have, but if you don't have some type of programmable engine management system there isn't much he can do. For the Viper you'd either have to have an AEM or Motec. You could get an AEM overnighted to you...- HOdbleFman

question for anyone running aftermarket fan(s)
No, I don't believe so; it is a pull type fan. If you mount one in front of the radiator you need a push type fan. I don't think pusher fans are quite as efficient as the pull fans of the same size. You can trim some of the shroud back on the '99 and up fans and gain an 1 1/2" of clearance...- HOdbleFman

708 Cam in a Creampuff?
Jim, if you must, the 708 cam will work fine with no other modifications. It's really not that much different than your stock cam. Just be careful when you put the cam sensor back into the timing cover. Make sure that you have proper clearance between the nose of the sensor and the high spot...- HOdbleFman
