    Garage Floor Coating

Has anyone used a coating that does NOT fail over time, and is non-slip. My concern is I don't want to have to re-coat the floor every few years. It seams as if all posts here don't seem to address the longevity of the coating. Has anyone had a coating in place longer then 10 years that is as...

WHAT IS THE MAX ENGINE RPM ON A 2001? 56 HP PER LITER SEEMS VERY LOW...

The Viper engine is NOT designed to turn high RPMs. The engine suffers from oiling deprevation along with crank shaft wiggle problems. If you modify these engines to turn up the RPMs you'll be buying engines every week. Any of you tuners out there think the Viper engines should be turning...

WHAT IS THE MAX ENGINE RPM ON A 2001? 56 HP PER LITER SEEMS VERY LOW...

The Viper engine will live longer if you shift the car at 5200 rpm. Accelleration is a product of max torq. The viper engines can generate what ever hp You want. BUT let us not forget the cost of insurance of super exotic high hp cars. More hp more premium. DC had it right by limiting the hp...

    Is 2 better than 1?

I think that owning two Vipers has it's merrits. I like yourself have a 97 Blue/white striped RT/10 (modified alot). I also have a GT2 and a world challenge SpeedVision Viper. There are times when the RT/10 is best(sunny days). The GT2 is right for cool days or long distances. The Race car...

Puzzler for All You Viper Experts....

Have the flex pipes (webbing) in the exhaust checked. If the webbing holes are opening up when they get hot it may be allowing exhaust noise and gases to escape. The area of the noise sounds right for this problem. How many miles are on the car and what modes are on it? Dan Vargus/GT2-001

    Side splitters from PartsRack!

The side splitter design may have been changed so that manfacturer wouldn't run into a problem with Daimler's part. The GT2s side splitters are black and follow the same lines as the side sills. The GT2 side sills are also aluminum. Dan Vargus GT2-001

    "Older Vipers Taste Like Chicken"

\"Older Vipers Taste Like Chicken\" I had posted this a couple of years ago but now it seems that it is time again: "A lot of fast cars in the past have had their day in the sun. The Viper while currently basking in the glow of unmatched performance may soon be a legend of the past...

    GTSR

The GTSR/GT2s were produced with 460HP rather than the 450 HP of the GTSs and RT/10s. The GT2s were the first to use 18" Wheels, a five point racing harness, smooth tubes, K&N air filters. Also the GT2s have a sequential serial number system in the vin #. A custom car cover with the production...

    Question for '98 GT2 owners

Re: Question for \'98 GT2 owners When the GT2s were being built I made a suggestion that the GT2s be photographed as they came down the line. CAAP took it one step further and put the disposable cameras in the car. The cameras were usually found in the pocket in the back side of the drivers...

Anyone Heard of Using Jet Fuel and Menstal Oil In Their Gas Tank???

It is my understanding that if you increase the octane level of your fuel, it will have NO effect on your car. The Viper and all other new car computers will retard the timing to compensate for the higher octane. The computer wants 92 octane and will adjust the timing to match this level. Dan...

    High flow cats....

No race cars have cats!!!! Street cars have cats! Some back pressure helps tork. Too much back pressure anything over 2 1/2lbs seems to reduce both TQ and HP. Think of the advantage dirt bikers get when they apply the proper amount of restrickters to the exhaust. Tuning the exhaust to YOUR...

Water Wetter didn't do a thing

Re: Water Wetter didn\'t do a thing Water wetter or not? The function of water wetter or a like is that it removes the air pockets inside the cooling system. If you don't purge out all, all, all, all, of the air you will still retain heat in the air pockets in the cooling system. Heat after a...

    Low sulphur petrol?

Nadine one other thing you may want to consider a fuel catalist filter. It installs in your fuel line. It will remove impurities from your petrol. It will increase performance because your engine will burn cleaner petrol. On the Dyno it works... Dan Vargus/PartsRack
