Matt, please do the right thing and at least refund my $500 deposit. I am out $180 in a cancelled flight and out taking two days off work. After conferring with my legal counsel, the status of the vehicles title is other than what was presented in our agreement. You agreed to release my deposit once the vehicle is sold but the vehicle cannot be sold until my deposit is released in such circumstances. I have no doubt you are a good person so i am confident you will do the right thing in this matter. I will promptly post when the deposit has been refunded and wish you the best on your sale. Thanks in advance, take care

Well as long as you bring this up lets talk about it. I was talking to multiple buyers on the car. All of I have sent pics of the car with damage. I had two people say they want the car and want to send a deposit ASAP. One of the two had all info and the other was you.
Now you asked no questions and I even asked you on the phone if there is anything you else you want to know about the car and you said no and just I am so happy you still have it. I told you I had someone else that wanted to send a deposit but your e-mail was 5 min before his and in all fairness you said it first so you had first crack at it.

Now you changed your mind on the car for one of 2 reasons. 1 you ran your own carfax and didn't like what it said. 2 I told I would take your Wells Fargo bank check to the bank before I would allow the car to leave. You lied to me on the reason you did not want the car anymore. I told everyone dealing on the car it was sold to you. I never lied to you I would like you to prove that I had.

I told you that I would refund your deposit when one of the other buyers purchased the car. You did not even ask me any questions about the car and if you look in my other post here before you said you would take it I said there was a history on this car with carfax.

Now I have a trouble maker starting things on this car and I am done selling it. Goldlifter is complaning about being out 180 for plane tickets because he jumped the gun. I am out 36,000 and the car is now off the markert.

It is not worth the trouble to this web site and I respect the Viper club very much and never wanted it to come to this. People who have delt with me on this car have all said I have been upfront about everything and that is all I can do. I do not want to post everything.

Goldlifter

I will refund you deposit even though I never should. You cost me $36,500.00 that a fully aware buyer wanted to send me a deposit 5 min after you. The Viper club means that much to me. Next time don't put someone through this because YOU just want to buy first and ask questions later.

Maybe some others who have dealt with Matt will chime in. I am one of them. I did look at this car earlier in this year when I was looking to purchase my first Viper. Matt was upfront about the damage and the title. I never had an issue. I understood how to read a carfax report. This car just wasn't for me.

In fact, Matt had another car he was considering buying to fix up and sell. That car was in an accident that the previous owner had paid cash to fix so the title would be clean. Matt told me about the accident and sent pictures. If he hadn't, I never would have known it had been in an accident nor would any other buyer. Some sellers wouldn't have said a thing. Matt was upfront about every detail.

Lastly, for those of you who don't know Matt, he is currently helping a few people who bought Vipers from him but are now going through rough financial times due to the economy. He doesn't have to but he does. That is Matt.

Goldlifter has absolutely nothing to worry about. Matt is a stand up guy.

I would like to point out here is someone I delt with on the car long before any of this started. I should not have to say any more.

Once again I am sorry to the club for the mud slinngers who have nothing better to do.

Not to beat a dead horse, but just for giggles:
How does a car with a junk/rebuilt title in 2002 emerge in 2007 with a clean title?
Just curious.

Whoa, wait a second here.....i think everyone needs to calm down here. I have absolutely no qualms that Matt is a stand up guy and he has, again, agreed to refund my deposit. The fact of the matter is, this is a beautiful car and a smoking deal for someone, it just will not work for my situation. After all is said and done, i would still buy another car from him in the future.

The car was inspected by the state of MN. Under the laws here it qualified for a clean title. There is full documention at the state of what was damaged and repaired.

It would not, unless carfax made a mistake and they do all the time. Call that states DMV and give them the vin # to find out the histroy. Carfax is NOT a very reliable source of information, they are only a guide. The owner of this car should dispute the report with carfax, but they will not change the report unless you take them to court. This car will still sell for $36K.

In ending I will say this to anyone wishing to know the whole truth regarding this accident it is very easy to contact the Washington State municipality in which this accident was documented. It should be quite clear by the police report, which anyone with 5 dollars can obtain, just how minor an accident this was. My stand is unchanged nor will it be regarding the way this seller should have posted this car for sale in the beginning.
