Hello, newly registered, lurking for years. I have a 2003 Viper SRT convertible that has a branded title. The original owner got rear ended in 2009. It was rebuilt and has been back on the road since. I've had the car for 3 years now and it's been great. Looks, runs, drives, feels wonderful. Sadly, it's time for the car to go, I need the garage space for something that holds teenagers and 2 dogs.

What is my best path for selling the vehicle? What can I do to reassure a buyer of it's condition? Or remove the "branded" stigma?

I'm not looking for clean title prices, just fair.
Thanks.

I would get rid of the silver strip on the doors if they are stickers.

And just completely honest and transparent about the damage.

What is the mileage? People ask around 20-30% less then a clean car.

If you got pictures of the damage that is a big big big factor.

I myself wouldn't pay 20% less but that's me.

In order for someone to buy the car, they are someone who can look past a Salvaged title. Depending on how low the price is, that Audience will grow or shrink..

Good luck with the Sale.

PS, I agree, ditch the door stripes if you can!

Coming from someone that also owns a branded title car, the more information and documentation the better. As the risk I assume goes up...the price I'm going to offer you proportionally goes down.

Thanks for the replies.
She has 23,173 original miles as of last week.

Fortunately for me the rebuild was done well, just not a lot of paperwork left for me being two owners later. I have some, not a lot.
The bad side, the stripes aren't stickers. Full paint and clear. Believe me, the wing and stripes I wanted off, neither are a good idea.
Speaking of that, the wing is not cheap, and well installed. Meaning drilled, waterproofed, and sealed back up inside the truck. Not coming off without damage.

I agree, I'm very honest about the branded title, almost joking about it. Ive had two viper dealers look at it here in denver and neither could tell untill they ran the vin. (Not that I put much stock in any stealership).

The car is clean, normal chips on the front lip. In fact, the piece that bugs me the most is the drivers door window inside trim strip loosened and I pulled it off. Bugs me to see small pieces of glue.

Anyways, keep the comments coming. I appreciate all the help.

The Branded Title is pretty much insignificant considering
its a Red 2003 with mods. Like others have said, losing the
stripes and wing might help, but even if it did we're talking
pennies not decimal points. Might not even be worth the
risk of damage.

Be honest with what you know, youre not going to scare off
any legitimate buyers - most Viper have been significantly
damaged in their life times, if the rebuild quality is good then
its not going to hurt your ability to sell. Its a shame you have
no provenance on the damage or repairs.

Thank you @Bonkers .
I feel the same way. When I bought it I did not care. I figured most working Vipers were either perfect or damaged. The build is excellent, I just don't have the evidence. I am contacting the company that did it though, we will see. No breath holding here.

Personally; with your garage space, and if you still enjoy it, I would buy a lift and park the family hauler under it :)

Would have to change the Door Tracks on the Garage doors and may have to go with a Jack-Shaft style opener.
