In the latest Car and Driver they ran a 0-200-0 comparo.

Before they tested the cars on the track they drove the cars around to get an idea of their usage as a daily driver, and to burn off any possible cheater fuel in the tank.

The Viper from the Texas tuner had 1,033 Horsepower and not only was "remarkably civilized", but they observed 20 MPG driving it around.:drive:

It was the least expensive vehicle in the test and thundered from 0 to 200mph, and back down to 0 again in 30.7 seconds.

Who says you can't have performance and be eco sensitive at the same time.:2tu:

I got 21mpg with my 98 Roe sc'd GTS. My 720rwhp (should I add 150rwhp for the Nitrous or doesn't that count unless the bottle is in the trunk?) gets 20mpg (us gal). The wife's Ford Escape get about 19mpg. My 500hp Stealth gets nearly 25mpg. My 440 duster gets around 15 and my customized/modified '84 2.2 Daytona Turbo gets about 33mpg (at 80mph speeds). My '91 Ford F150 gets around 14-16mpg.

My 04 Viper fully stock got 8-10 mpg.
After Belanger full exhaust and VEC 3, it got about 20 mpg
After installing 05 motor, porting heads and cam w/ exhaust, now it gets about 14 mpg

Plus...my foot has a lot to do with it!

With the 2008 ZB:
I've seen 25+ mpg freeway ~70mph for legs of up to 275 miles
I've also seen 4mpg on the track...

Overall average for track / city / highway has been over 16 mpg
