I am painting my Gen 3 convertible's middle dash bezels GTS blue. I am trying to decide if I should go glossy or matte? The rest of the car's interior is bascially a matte finish. Also, I wondered if the gloss would reflect the sun too much with the top down? Just wondering... Any experience or opinions are appreciated. Thanks. :)

I did all of mine in gloss silver to match the exterior. I think I remember you saying you were doing a blue stripe. In my opinion, your interior needs to match the stripe exactly for it to look good.
I do have some glare off the top of my speedo/tach area with the gloss silver, but only notice it if I'm driving in the bright sun with the top UP, but you get used to it. How often are you driving in nice, sunny weather with the top up anyway? Top down, I don't really even notice it.

Hey Dawg, Yes, I am having a GTS Blue Stripe put on. I also already have blue emblems and will be painting the brakes blue. So, I think GTS Blue is the color for the dash (I can always change it--I bought a used one to paint). In sunny weather the top is going down, so apparently it is not a problem!!! Thanks for your input. I like the gloss better!

Gloss for sure, matte will look like you skipped a step, besides, the center bezel isn't directly in you front vision, so glare shouldn't be a problem driving.

Thanks. Gloss it is. I hated the "matte" finish cars in that one thread, but I thought since the rest of the dash area was matte it would look better. Na... on second though... Gloss it is. :)
